
With over 1,300 forecourts throughout the
UK, BP is one of the country's biggest retailers and since
no two of its outlets are the same, the logistics involved
in ensuring that each site receives the appropriate point
of sale materials are considerable.
Working closely with BP, The Fulfilment
Store has developed a database containing detailed information
about each of these sites ranging from the number of A1 poster
sites there are to whether or not they have a license to sell
alcohol. The database is constantly monitored and updated
to reflect changes to the BP site portfolio.
Every month our account team receives a
brief from BP's marketing managers on the promotional activity
that is due to take place. This information is then interpreted
in such a way that it can be applied to the database. From
this printers are briefed to produce the correct quantities
of each item and the data is uploaded to The Fulfilment Store's
stock management system, enabling 1,300 bespoke point of sale
kits to be collated and despatched to each BP forecourt in
time for the new promotional campaign.
